Any Built-in ISNumeric() UDF in Hive

Hi,
 
I Would like to know whether there are any UDF function like ISNumeric() to check data is numeric or not. I can make use of CAST to convert data, but I would like to know if there any UDF available ?
 
 
Can any one share with me samples, If I create UDF in PIG, how can I make use of it in Hive Script.
