1.2 log rotation?

How is it planned to do log rotation in Apache 1.2, now that sending the
server a SIGHUP shuts it down? This occurs on FreeBSD and BSDI so far.
I guess it's a result of the signal handler changes by either Ben or Rob.

I get the message

bind: Address already in use

and the server shuts down. I have to restart it then.
