[jira] [Closed] (ROL-1206) Check html closing tags before publishing a post

Glen Mazza closed ROL-1206.
---------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Building an solid HTML parser would be a mountain of work, and would probably still suffer ongoing problems of false positives and false negatives filling up Roller's JIRA. If this is a ongoing problem with newbie bloggers, probably best to limit them to the rich text editors (we package Xinha) instead of allowing them to blog in pure HTML -- the blog server admin page allows you to specify available editors.

>
> it happens that a user forgot to close all tags in his post and this small mistake can influence other sites as well when they are aggregating lot of posts into one long list.
