Unfortunately SSHD-1231[1] just came up. It's a bug in publickey 
authentication that affects 2.7.0 and also 2.8.0.

It has a one-line fix at [2], but as I'm on the brink of going off on
vacation (back in January), I don't have the time now to provide a unit
test.

Not sure it'd warrant a re-spin; the bug has existed for a while, and
was delivered with Eclipse 2021-09, but we only got a bug report about
it today.[3] So even if nasty, it appears it isn't hit often... plus
users can work around it, as mentioned in [1] and [3].

So either is fine for me: deliver with this known bug, or include the
one-line fix and re-spin. If the latter: someone else please merge the
PR; I'm really off to the beaches now.
