Eclipse mojo and output directories

I'm about to port our Maven 1 development process to Maven 2. With a very
simple project example I noticed that eclipse:eclipse doesn't have separate
output directories for main and test classes.

Why is this different from the Maven 1 Eclipse goal?

Regards
-chris
