used OOo 3.3
Loaded thesis document
skipped to end of document
on scroll up the final page was repeated constantly

on second attempt when I skipped to the end of the document all of OO crashed.
All other work wasn't recovered but the thesis document was.

I attempted to open a 105 page document with tables and images and anything
else I could think of and it didn't crash when I skipped to the end of it.
