Hi [~churromorales], I am sorry you didn't get a timely committer review on this. I'll try to review it next week. I have never looked at INotify before so I'd have to spend some time to understand the feature first.

Alternatively you could try requesting a review on hdfs-dev at hadoop.apache.org and someone familiar with the feature may be able to review it.
