setProcessNamespaces

Hi,
Does anybody know what happened with setProcessNamespaces() method
of XPathSupportDefault class in Xalan C++ 1.1?

The class itself was replaced with XercesDOMSupport class
and there is no such method in latter.

Is there any other way to disable processing of namespaces?
