[jira] [Commented] (KARAF-1801) slf4j 1.7.0
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-1801?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13475814#comment-13475814 ]
Hendy Irawan commented on KARAF-1801:
-------------------------------------
We depend on apache directory API 1.0.0-M13 which requires slf4j API 1.7.0.
I'd love for Karaf 2.2.10 to have SLF4J API 1.7.0 support! :-)
BTW why is the fix for 2.3.1 and not 2.3.0? Isn't 2.3.0 still in development? Would be great to put it there too.

> slf4j 1.7 has new nice feature
> "Printing methods in the Logger interface now offers variants accepting varargs instead of Object[]. Given that under the hood, the Java compiler transforms varargs into an array, this change is totally 100% no-ifs-or-buts backward compatible with all existing client code."

> I would like to use it with my bundles under future karaf releases
