[jira] [Commented] (KAFKA-18357) Support to dynamically configure the log level for JUL and logback

Ismael Juma commented on KAFKA-18357:
-------------------------------------
I don't think we should implement this ourselves. If there is a project that tackles that, we can use it. But it's not something that we should have to maintain, in my opinion. As far as I know, it hasn't been requested by users at all so far.

> We currently support dynamic log level configuration only when the server is run with Log4j, which is our official logging implementation by default. However, it would be beneficial to support other popular SLF4J providers to further consolidate Kafka's logging functionality.
