assembly plugin - 2.2-beta-2 any time soon?

Hi guys - it's been 6 months since the last maven-assembly-plugin release.
2.2-beta-2 upgrades plexus-archiver and should fix PLX-344 which is a
particularly niggly issue.

Is there any plan to release a new version anytime?
