Well I hope I don't sound too blunt about this - my excuses if I do.
It seems your mailer is misconfigured in more ways than one. The
Mail-Followups-To field has an incomplete e-mail address - the To and
CC fields contain your address twice. These things should not
happen. I do not know if good documentation of these things is
available - but you can probably find someone who knows what's wrong.
On the actual issue - this list behaves very similarily to many other
lists. The behaviour is a bit different depending on your mailer and
the Mail-Followups-To and Mail-Copies-To headers that people have set
up. I hope we do not drift into a discussion about these things on
this list, since those discussions often drag on for ages and get very
intense replies from the parties involved.

Thanks. (The issue is not minimizing the amount of work, but
minimizing the chance of writing the wrong fix.)

Mutt should have a separate command for reply-to-all (is it 'R'
perhaps?). I don't know whether Mutt can be configured to eliminate
duplicates.
If you're wondering why the list software doesn't just set the
reply-to, please don't ask that question :-). It's been discussed to
death already; people disagree about the right behavior in this
matter. The SVN list itself doesn't do anything with the reply-to
header -- it's up to individual authors/readers using their mailer
software to full advantage.

It's because your Mail-Followup-To header had just "Daniele Nicolodi
<daniele>" - and Michael sent his message with that and the local MTA
tacked on _his_ local address there.

Good.
But where are you taken this address
"Daniele Nicolodi <da...@marmite.its.uct.ac.za>" that i can see in the
Mail-Follwoup-To: header ??

L (capital L) works for me in mutt, as long as I have something like
this in my .muttrc:
lists dev@subversion

Sure, the next time i send a patch and a log but for a so tiny fix i
thinked that cut and and paste a patch and a mesage log from a mail
was more work than write them.
Ciao
PS: why all the reply on this list has To: to the author of the original
message and dev@subversion.tigris.org is only in the Cc: ?? So i get all
replyes to my messages duplòicated and i can't reply to the list with
r or l in mutt ...

Btw, Daniele, just to point out why Brane is not being merely pedantic
here:
If I were in a hurry and not thinking, I might ready your mail and
just fix "<header>", forgetting to fix "</header>" too. Whereas with
a patch, all the right things happen automatically :-).
No need to write up a log msg and patch this time; I'll tweak the file
right now. Just so you know for next time.

Yes the error was in my original stylesheet. Escuse me.

Hm, must have been a typo in your original, then. Can you send a
complete patch, please? Read the HACKING file about how patches should
be written.
