I am not sure if this is a legitimate bug, if not I apologize for wasting your
time. upon running the command java -jar batik-rasterizer
adc2_251_f1e220fd3bb791eb8e19dbe8797f678a.svg
(Where adc2_251_f1e220fd3bb791eb8e19dbe8797f678a.svg is a 25MB svg file created
from adobe illustrator. ) I get the following exception.

If i run it with the Xmx1024M option (on java) it completes successfully but it
takes over 18 minutes to render. On other images of larger size it takes less
than a minute. I am attaching the zipped version of the svg file. Thank you for
looking into this and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

The default memory partition for java is ridiculously small (something like 64MB).
You will need to increase the max memory size for your document to work.
Try running java with something like:
java -Xmx1024m -jar batik-rasterizer.jar ...
That will give java 1024 MB to work with...

Thank you for the advice and that does help to get the image to actually
render. The problem is that a typical image of the same size takes about 1
minute to render. For some reason this particular image takes anywhere from 10-
18 minutes to render. Some property of this particular svg file dramatically
cripples the performance of batik. Let me know if this is an issue that can be
worked on or if it is something I need to take a further look into myself.
