[jira] [Commented] (OAK-683) Create an OakDirectoryFactory to write
Solr index data inside Oak
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-683?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13595970#comment-13595970 ]
Alex Parvulescu commented on OAK-683:
-------------------------------------
Is this really necessary? I thought the point of having a Solr index was to be able to scale out the index, something along the lines of Solr cloud.
If you want to keep the index in Oak, you'd use lucene directly which already has a repository storage mechanism.
