[jira] [Created] (BEAM-776) Use 'categories' better on the blog

Frances Perry created BEAM-776:
----------------------------------

Summary: Use 'categories' better on the blog
                 Key: BEAM-776
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-776
             Project: Beam
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: website
            Reporter: Frances Perry
            Assignee: James Malone
            Priority: Minor

The enticingly named 'categories' field in the blog headers seems completely useless. As far as I can tell, all it does it show up in the URL in wonky ways without giving search capabilities or useful grouping. We should figure out if there's something better to do here.

Example url wonkiness caused by seemingly relevant categories:

http://.../beam/update/2016/10/11/strata-hadoop-world-and-beam.html
http://.../beam/release/2016/06/15/first-release.html
http://.../beam/python/sdk/2016/02/25/python-sdk-now-public.html

For now, I suggest all new blogs just use the category 'blog'.
