[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-1261) [Service discovery] Service urls are not discovered, because of the authentication failure

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-1261?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16444280#comment-16444280 ]

Phil Zampino commented on KNOX-1261:
------------------------------------

The issue is not due to an authentication failure.

The issue is the remote alias service is not sync'ing remote alias values correctly. When the listener pulls the alias values locally from ZooKeeper, it's not decrypting them. Thus, when discovery queries the alias service for the Ambari password (from the alias), it gets the encrypted value, which obviously does not work for authenticating to Ambari.
