[jira] Created: (DERBY-3449) Add a jmx utility for creating JMX
TabularData from a JDBC ResultSet
Add a jmx utility for creating JMX TabularData from a JDBC ResultSet
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: DERBY-3449
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-3449
Project: Derby
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Daniel John Debrunner
Priority: Minor
It might be useful to allow JMX clients to view JDBC result sets, maybe for arbitrary queries and probably for DatabaseMetaData ResultSets.
I hacked up some code to try this out, it requires JDK 1.5.
Not sure where this would end up living in the source tree, might be best to make this an internal utility rather than visible to applications.
Gives more flexibility to change it over time.

[jira] Updated: (DERBY-3449) Add a jmx utility for creating JMX

Daniel John Debrunner updated DERBY-3449:
-----------------------------------------
Attachment: JMXResultSet.java
DatabaseMBean.java
Database.java
JMXResultSet has the utility code.
Database & DatabaseMBean give examples of how it would be used. I'm not suggesting these would be an actual DatabaseMBean api for Derby.
Currently the package statement has o.a.d.impl.services.jmx, the classes are not dependent on that package, just require jdk 1.5 to compile.
