1.0.1 release

Hi,

I'm planning to roll out the 1.0.1 release. I think just a private test
release will be sufficient before a vote as this is all bugfixes and
already released plugins (with the exception of the following). Any
objections?

On the note of plugins: do the leads have any in mind they want
released? I'd prefer to see only bugfixes going in from this stage to
keep them stable and backwards compat with 1.0.

I'd like to release as they are:
changes
dist
html2xdoc
j2ee
jar
plugin
javadoc
jira
junit-report
jxr
release
site
struts

I'll also take a closer look at the bug list for plugins I ended up with
the lead of (native, idea, artifact in particular) for releases.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Brett

ok for me.
The two fixes (MPXDOC-115 and MPXDOC-117) are minors.
I'll release it later.

Thanks.

I'm disinclined to release xdoc at the moment. It hadn't had any
bugfixes, and few other changes.

WDYT?

Do you mind making this release? I've never used jalopy, so don't feel
very confident in testing it.

(I can release it as is, but you did put your hand up originally :)

Is it possible to add Jalopy plugin to the list.
There's fix for http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MPJALOPY-6 commited

Hi Felipe,

Brett asked for bugfixes, and AspectJ plugin has none, it has only new
features.
Maybe a release can be done in a few days although not included in 1.0.1

I'm not quite sure what the list below means: is it a list of plugins that we should be generating a new release (for the plugin) and then maven 1.0.1 would use the latest release of all plugins (even those not in the list)? Or is it a list of plugins whose release we should change on maven 1.0.1 (and hence the plugins not listed here would keep the version used at maven 1.0.0)?

If it's the first case, I'd suggest a new release for aspectj (sorry if Carlos already pointed that out, I haven't read all messages yet); if it's the second, then I would add announcements 1.3 to the list.

It's done. Will you be able to test it Carlos ?

All maven developers can manage maven projects.

I think that we must add the group "maven-developers" for the
permission "Administer Projects" in the scheme "maven" ?

http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/project/EditPermissions!default.jspa?schemeId=10010

Can a jira guru confirm this ?

Hi Brett,

Maybe you can call it 1.0.1-rc1 and if no problems arise it can be promoted
to 1.0.1

I'd like to release linkcheck as there are some issues fixed. Not long ago
it was discussed the need to allow maven-developers group to create JIRA
versions, which implies being project admin. Trygve and Jason agreed, but I
think it wasn't finally updated in JIRA. So if anyone could do it, it'd be
great, else I just need to rename linkcheck 1.4 version to 1.3.3, and then
I'll prepare the release.
