[jira] [Commented] (THRIFT-2945) Implement support for Rust language

Jeremy Fitzhardinge commented on THRIFT-2945:
---------------------------------------------

Hi all - I've picked up this work with a goal of driving it to an upstreamable form.

The main missing piece was an implementation of the test suite, so I've started to implement that. However, in doing so, I've found quite a few loose ends which I felt needed addressing, so that's what I've been doing.

I'd like to get something workable into an upstreamable form fairly soon (basic sync client and server, binary protocol, etc), with the expectation that more work will be needed (async, greater protocol support).
