ibatis parameterMap extends question

Can we have multiple external parameterMaps and extend from other
parameterMaps? or some way to do something similiar?
I can see we can do that with resultMaps. The dtd does not support the same
for ParameterMap.
Is there going to be a future implementation of the same for ParameterMap ?
I did a search but could not find an answer
