[Bug 65789] New: Consider integrating SparseBitSet into POI codebase

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65789

            Bug ID: 65789
Summary: Consider integrating SparseBitSet into POI codebase
           Product: POI
           Version: 5.0.0-FINAL
          Hardware: PC
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: POI Overall
          Assignee: dev@poi.apache.org
          Reporter: jan.tosovsky.cz@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Quite controversial topic. SparseBitSet library consists of single class
(https://github.com/brettwooldridge/SparseBitSet/tree/master/src/main/java/com/zaxxer/sparsebits),
which can be considered stable and tested over the years. It is distributed
under Apache 2.0 license so I assume it would be legal to clone it (keeping the
original author credits) under some POI namespace and make it integral part of
POI.
