difficult to trace this problem happened again

	This problem happened *again* this morning, around the same
time.  My guess is that after the kill -HUP which I do every morning
at 4AM something happens, and it takes about 3-4 hours before it turns
into a problem and the server goes haywire. I'm installing the 23.mmap
patch, and will report.
