[Issue 125535] New: Desktop icon for OpenOffice 4.1.1 corrupted

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125535

          Issue ID: 125535
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Desktop icon for OpenOffice 4.1.1 corrupted
           Product: Installation
           Version: 4.1.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 7
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: simon@simonhnoble.plus.com

Date of this work....29th August 2014 14:27pm....United Kingdom

Installation of OpenOffice 4.1.1 updated version over the existing OpenOffice
4.1.0 version.

Progress of the OpenOffice 4.1.1 new installation on the Windows 7 Home Premium
computer initially OK.....but....as the computer configures the desktop, the
blue OpenOffice 4.1.1 icon disappears and comes back as the primitive icon
expressed as a rectangular white sheet with top corner folded over.

This fault does not resolve on PC Restart.

This problem is present in mirrors:
freefr.dll.sourceforge
skylink.dll.sourceforge

This problem is present with or without the Quickstarter exited.

Possibly this is a general problem easy to resolve.

I will look to 4.1.2 to see if the issue resolves.

Thank you

--- Comment #1 from Regina Henschel <rb...@t-online.de> ---
There has been a similar report on the German mailing list. Therefore I set
this report to confirmed, also I personally has not got that problem.

@Simon: It is indeed easily solved: Right click the wrong link and click on
properties. Click on button ".. symbol .." and then on the second one of the
blue circle icons. For me it is in second row, fifth icon from left.
