Hi, Hampton Paul , Just 2 let you know , i created a simpliar build.
1) created a development folder at C:\ development
2)created the famous HelloWorld.java file
3) copied a basic Ant xml file called "build.xml"
4) cd:\ to C:\development > entered ant and the following appeared
Buildfile : build.xml

init: [mkdir] Created dir :c\development\build

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Total time : 1 second
C:\development>ant compile
Buildfile : buildfile.xml
 So Thanks alot i will play around at this level 4 now to get the syntax
concept .
