[The code that detects|https://github.com/apache/impala/blob/e486f3e3c38df373980fe928a9895b10c3c79a75/be/src/observe/otel.cc#L141] whether or not https is enabled on the OTel collector has a bug -- it does a case sensitive compare of the otel_trace_collector_url.  That means specifying a URL such as 'HTTPS://example.com/collector' will not have the OTel client's TLS properly configured.
