Syntax to include build output & list of changed files in notifications

Can someone tell me what to include in the conf/application.xml so that
email notifications include the list of files changed since last time and
also the entire ant build output?

I used to use continuum 1.0.3 and I had set it all up, but now all the
settings are lost and am redoing all of them on 1.1. I think it is
<includebuildoutput>
etc etc.. I am just not sure of the exact syntax and where exactly to
include it. Can someone please help?

Thanks,
Anoop

Re: Syntax to include build output & list of changed files in notifications

I have set it as clean build. So what you are saying is if I set it as only
an update I will be able to see those changes? Let me try that.

Thanks (that was a quick response btw),

Re: Syntax to include build output & list of changed files in notifications

Posted by Emmanuel Venisse <em...@gmail.com>.
I have few questions:

Is it the first checkout or do you have no scm changes in each build?
What are your build definitions options? always build? clean build?

With your logs, I see that Continuum run a svn checkout instead of an
update, so I think you choose to run a clean build, right?
With a checkout, we don't check scm changes, because it isn't "possible" on
projects with lot of files. We get scm changes only with scm updqte process.

Can you activate the debug logs, let Continuum run build with changes in scm
then send us your logs?

Yes - I checked - the dates are in sync. Our SVN server is on windows and
the continuum server is on Solaris - but I just ran a script to print the
dates on each machine continuously, and it seemed sync-ed up.

Do you have the sync dates on svn and continuum machines?

Still one issue though - Under SCN changes, it says no files changed,
although I am sure there were several files changes and committed - we use
SVN by the way.

************************************************************************
****
SCM Changes:
************************************************************************
****
No files changed

Is there anyway to fix this? Should I do some other setting - I could not
find a setting in the application.xml for this.

Thanks,
Anoop

Never mind - I figured this out - I was looking at the wrong
application.xml. Are there just too many application.xml files out there??

Thanks all.
