While Crimson and Xang were retired, it looks like some parts of xml.apache.org didn't get completed. The ones that jump to mind are:

1) SVN auth still allows other projects to edit parts of xml.apache.org.
2) There's no entry for xml.apache.org on the Attic project list.

Also worth checking the state of XML Commons, and what the mailing list situation is.
