PutPinecone, QueryPinecone uses OpenAI for embedding generation while PutChroma and QueryChroma supports OpenAI and HuggingFace as well.

It'd be good to add HuggingFace support for Pinecone processors as well. (The langchain API the Pinecone processors use supports HuggingFace embedding generation.)
