[jira] [Commented] (SAMZA-1430) Allow partition count being 0 for hdfs ouput

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SAMZA-1430?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16181327#comment-16181327 ]

Jake Maes commented on SAMZA-1430:
----------------------------------

Why would the partition count ever be 0?

If it's unpartitioned isn't that equivalent to a stream with 1 partition?

> IF the output stream is hdfs files, the initial parpitition count is 0, which is a legit use case of StreamSpec. We need to change the validation in StreamSpec to -1.
