[jira] Created: (COCOON-2061) Implement handling of HTTP HEAD

Implement handling of HTTP HEAD
-------------------------------

                 Key: COCOON-2061
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COCOON-2061
             Project: Cocoon
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: * Cocoon Core
            Reporter: Grzegorz Kossakowski
             Fix For: 2.2-dev (Current SVN)

As discussed in this thread: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.text.xml.cocoon.devel/73088 it's useful to implement proper handling of HTTP HEAD.

While handling HEAP request, pipelines should be built normally and set up fully. This guarantees all needed information that goes into HTTP headers is gathered. Then, _no processing_ should be applied because generating response body is pointless.

Grzegorz Kossakowski closed COCOON-2061.
----------------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

As discussed in this thread: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.text.xml.cocoon.devel/73088 it's a good idea to use HEAD requests to determine mime type. Given the fact that HEAD support is not needed for servlet-service-fw implementation I close the issue.
