I think we should use gnu_getopt() to parse the commandline in this
script. Currently, we cant use the --non-blocking options after the repos
path, but them getopt.gnu_getopt() is available only since python 2.3. Is
that a problem? could we fix this? cmpilato? maxb? nori?
