Nick Smith commented on DAFFODIL-1652:
--------------------------------------

Here is a patch that allows Daffodil to built against Scala 2.12. I have not yet managed to get SBT to simultaneously create 2.11 and 2.12 version. If someone would review I'd be more than happy to handle any changes requested.

> Scala 2.12 is out. This comes with various new features, as well as improved macros. We should investigate if this is worth the upgrade and test it out. Note that 2.12 requires Java 8. We require Java 8 due to some encoding bugs, but we could theoretically support Java7 by detected Java version and taking different code paths where the bug exists.
