I have studied it a bit more. I'd like to add multiple groups in the
Planet view.

What's a good UI:
- tabs for different groups?
- a menu on the side: list or drop-down?

I think the group list can replace the Technorati Rankings bar, which
isn't very useful imho. I'll try hacking it that way.

Yes, it is possible to add groups to planet but there is no way to  
show those new groups on the front page of the site. I was thinking  
that each group would get a tab on the main page, but that doesn't  
really scale for a large number of groups -- might be good to have  
both options tabs and/or menu on the side.
