[jira] [Commented] (YARN-2281) In RM webUI, apps are failed with inconsistent state and final state

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-2281?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14059174#comment-14059174 ]

Jian He commented on YARN-2281:
-------------------------------

This is expected. There's a difference between application state and application final status. Application state means the application state from YARN's perspective, while final status means the final finish status which AM provides. AM provides final status to RM via unregister. RM will think an app as FINISHED if it successfully unregisters, FAILED otherwise.
