Basic authentication did not work
Hi,
I am using JCloud to statup instances in vcloud setup. When I did it using
curl it worked fine.
echo -n "udarasampath@udarasampath:admin321" | openssl enc -base64
curl -i -k -H "Accept:application/*+xml;version=1.5" -X POST "
https://mycloud.stratogen.sg/api/sessions" -H "Authorization: Basic
base64Encoded"
However when using jclouds , with the base64 encode token of the basic
authentication produce an Access Forbidden error.
Do I missing something here?

No, my bad. You know more about how the vcloud API in jclouds used to
work than I do...I've learned something new, again ;-)

Andrew, when I tried vcloud way back (jclouds 1.5.0-beta4), I've to pass
the base64 encoded value AFAIR. May be I've mistaken, sorry if so.

Ah, OK (@Nirmal: there should be no implementation change there).
Still the same error, I take it?

Nope. I'm passing plain text credentials. The base64 encoding is done by
jclouds basic authentication.
Touched, not typed. Erroneous words are a feature, not a typo.

Oh... implementation got changed huh? That's a good feature.

Are you passing the base64 encoded version of the password to jclouds
as the "credential"? That should not be necessary - jclouds will take
care of the encoding for you.
What happens if you use the plaintext value?
