Salt Cloud using libcloud

I just wanted to drop a line in here about a new project I just released
last week. Salt Cloud is a cloud provisioning system that makes extensive
use of libcloud to provision and manage cloud vms. It is primarily used to
automate the setup of cloud vms and make them check back into Salt.

For more information please take a look at the Salt Stack homepage which
better explains the Salt configuration management and communication system,
and the salt cloud github page:

Salt community homepage:
http://saltstack.org

Salt Stack company page:
http://saltstack.com

salt-cloud github page:
https://github.com/saltstack/salt-cloud

I would love to see salt-cloud listed as a project using libcloud, and Salt
Stack as a company using libcloud.

Thanks for libcloud, it has made this project possible!

Salt does do a lot more then Chef and Puppet as well, since it is a generic
communication system.

Anyway about it, libcloud has made some of the recent stuff a lot more
awesome. The goal with salt cloud is to make more of a configuration
management like system for public cloud systems and libcloud is a very
critical component of it.

Yeah..its awesome for python devs. I am using chef. It would be
great if you can write a how do guide for converting from chef to
salt. ruby is not my forte.....

Happy to hear that Salt Cloud is also using Libcloud. I have updated the
website so now both project and the company should be listed there -
http://libcloud.apache.org/whos-using.html

As far as the project itself goes, it looks like an interesting alternative
to Chef / Puppet. The last time I've checked it out was around a year ago
and around that time the project was still pretty young. It looks like I
will need to give it another look soon :)
