Suspected Apache::AuthenNTLM Bug

I believe that I found a bug in Apache::AuthenNTLM 0.23.

If a user has a : (colon) in their password it does not authenticate
them.

The Apache error.log shows the below

[Mon May 26 12:16:08 2003] [error] access to /objectives/ failed for  ,
reason: Wrong password/user (rc=3/1/327681): DOMAIN\username for
/objectives/

Can anybody advise how I can fix this.
