[jira] [Commented] (AIRAVATA-2301) 'Is the Input required?' in application interface is not making inputs optional when set to false

Eroma commented on AIRAVATA-2301:
---------------------------------

CSBG LSU gateway owner want to add a description for optional inputs and also arguments. None of this could be achieved from the optional inputs filed currently exist in the gateway. If the current 'Is this required?' is fixed to behave as it is expected to all the above can be achieved. Also we have to implement users adding none, one or many files when the input is optional

> Currently we set this field to 'True' as a practice. Even when this is set to false still the input is mandatory at experiment creation, edit and clone.
> Currently the system has another separate implementation to attach optional input files. Still we cannot make any other type of input (string, number, etc) optional.
> Hense this flag need to be fixed so then we could make any selected type of an input optional at experiment creation level
