   It does look like this test had some reliability problems from day one, though they were believed to be solved. Flaky tests can be so tricky! :) 
   
   If I can't find a solution today, I will merge this branch into master remotely and push it up until we can. I agree that we shouldn't leave a flaky test in the pipeline. I've encountered a few other surprising failures as well in my "rerun until green" attempts, so it's not just `ParallelExecutionTest` that needs a swift kick.
