Newbie: Interested in contributing to Lucene source code

Hi,

My name is Rajath Agasthya. I am a software engineer at Cisco. I would like
to contribute to Lucene's source code. I am aware of the newdev issues on
JIRA. But any other suggestions on how to get started is appreciated.

The page for Solr has quite a bit more info than that page for Lucene.
Bringing those pages into parity with each other could be the first
thing you do.
