Pretty straightforward: Set up target dirs with 777 file permission:
/opt/apache
/opt/jserv
and have temporary src etc in /var/tmp/einjmik/{apache_1.3.12,ApacheJServ-1.1.1)

1. make, make install of apache works fine
2. 
    ./configure \
                --with-java-platform=2 \
                --prefix=/opt/jserv \
                --with-apache-src=/var/tmp/einjmik/apache_1.3.12 \
                --with-jdk-home=/opt/JDK/jdk1.2.2 \
                --with-JSDK=/var/tmp/einjmik/JSDK2.0/lib/jsdk.jar \
                --disable-debugging
3. perform make....

No, I tried to finish the install despite errors but the target directoy
is empty after performing "make install" for jserv.
