    Mark the component as retired for the final release
    
    The PMC vote to retire Maven Shared IO passed on 2026-09-07. Do not drop
    the "(RETIRED)" suffix or the front page notice: the released 3.1.0
    artifact and its published site are the only places a user who never read
    dev@ will learn that this component is dead.

+The Maven project voted to retire this component in September 2026, because it
+had no remaining consumers and its download package cannot be carried to Maven 4
+without breaking its published API. See the

+If you want to continue development, fork the code under your own groupId and
