Suppose i want to include some jars as dependency which is not available in geronimo repository but available in remote maven repository......Is there any option where i can point to external repository  (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2) which automatically downloads the jar to geronimo repository..

No, the server will/can not download missing depends in geronimo-web.xml.
But, if you turn your application into a plugin, the Plugin Installer can download and install any missing depends that you list in the geronimo-plugins.xml
