JDk 1.5 Enum on CForm Binding

I've added a getName() method to my JDK 1.5 enum classes so as to have 
something to display on the screen for a pull-down list on my form.  My 
question is if anyone has been able to get JDk 1.5 enums working with 
Form Binding.  It would be nice if I didn't have make an extra method in 
my object to use the valueOf() method of the enum to set it.
