[jira] [Comment Edited] (CONNECTORS-1356) Initial implementation of the CMIS Output Connector

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS-1356?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16059920#comment-16059920 ]

Piergiorgio Lucidi edited comment on CONNECTORS-1356 at 6/22/17 8:11 PM:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

A third iteration is just committed on the branch (r1799610) with the following details:
* Simplified the configuration settings and added a field for activating the timestamp folder tree generation
* Added the support for the timestamp tree generation for folders in the target repo considering the creation date of each contents and putting the content in the leaf of the tree, for example /2017/06/22/invoice-20170101.pdf
* Now contents are correctly migrated without any errors or issues

Tomorrow I'll do an half day of further testing :)

I have also uploaded three screenshots for sharing an example of migration.
In the source repo all the contents are stored in an Alfresco instance in the same folder.
You can see the ManifoldCF settings I have enabled the timestamp folder tree generation, this means that ManidoldCF will create the folder tree based on the creation date of each content.
Finally you can see in the target repo the same contents but dropped in the new tree generated by ManifoldCF.

> After we have discussed about the possibility to have some output connector dedicated to migrate contents from a specific repo to another one, this is the first implementation for the CMIS protocol.
> The discussion is the following:

> The main scenario is migrate contents from any repository type to a CMIS-compliant repo.
