[jira] [Commented] (BOOKKEEPER-491) Hedwig doc for configuration
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BOOKKEEPER-491?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13526657#comment-13526657 ]
Sijie Guo commented on BOOKKEEPER-491:
--------------------------------------
thanks Flavio.
several comments:
{quote}
+| @inter_region_ssl_enabled@ | Enables SSL across regions. Default is false. |
{quote}
This setting is not recommended. Users are suggested to enable cross region ssl connections in conf/hw_region_client.conf
{quote}
+| @password@ | Sets the password used for BookKeeper ledgers. Default is the empty string. |
{quote}
this password setting is for ssl cert file not for bookkeeper. currently we had a hardcode 'silly' password in Hedwig. Do we need a separated jira to expose it as a setting?
BTW,
1) you might need to refer conf/hw_server.conf as an reference for the documentation.
2) there is some configurations missed in conf/hw_server.conf after some recent changes. could you help putting them in conf/hw_server.conf too?
3) do you mind putting the setting about crossing region client settings in this documentation too? you could find them in conf/hw_region_client.conf
