[jira] [Created] (QPID-3517) Inconsistent SSL configuration keys in
Java Broker differ may cause user confusion
Inconsistent SSL configuration keys in Java Broker differ may cause user confusion
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: QPID-3517
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3517
Project: Qpid
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Java Broker
Affects Versions: 0.13
Reporter: Keith Wall
Assignee: Keith Wall
Priority: Minor
In the Java Broker's configuration XML file, SSL configuration is required for both management and messaging connector.
The messaging connector Xpaths are:
{code}
connector/ssl/keystorePath
connector/ssl/keystorePassword
{code}
The management Xpaths are:
{code}
management/ssl/keyStorePath
management/ssl/keyStorePassword
{code}
Unfortunately the final element names differ only in case (keyStorePath vs keystorePath etc). It is likely this will cause confusion: the user may copy and paste between the two (if securing both transports with a single cert) and could easily introduce a configuration error. Commons Config is case sensitive.
