DynamoDB ops can return the cost of the operation in {{ConsumedCapacity}} methods.

by switching to the API calls which include this in the results are used in {{DynamoDBMetadataStore}}, then we could provide live/aggregate stats on IO capacity used. This could aid in live monitoring S3Guard load, and help assess the cost of queries
