SVN authentication

Hi

 

I am really sorry amount this but I need help.

I am having problems using the authz/passwd/svnserve.conf with subversion
clients TortoiseSVN (for Windows XP) and svn on Linux.

As soon as I turn on the authentication both clients just sit there for
several minutes - then recover and work!

 

Please help as this is a source for of frustration for some time.  What am I
doint wrong with my setup.
