Upgrading Ambari

How do I determine what version of Ambari I am running?

rpm -qa | grep ambari

You can also use yum or zypper depending on what OS you have. E.g. For yum ­
yum list installed | grep ambari

The newer versions of Ambari also drops a file at
/var/lib/ambari-server/resources/version at the host for ambari-server.
